Yes! We use this term interchangeably. “Lampshades” is our all-encompassing term for “shades”. So, we make shades for table lamps, floor/standard lamps, pendant lights (to fit a cord hanging from the ceiling) and for batten fixtures (where the bulb is attached right at ceiling height).

Absolutely! Just ask.

The time it takes to complete your lampshade depends on whether we have the fabric in stock, and if not, where we get it from. Most of the fabrics ARE in stock. If this is the case, normal turnaround time from your ordering is 5-10 days. When sending your own fabric or wallpaper, allow approx 7-10 days from my receiving your material.

However, those fabrics that need to be ordered are usually custom printed on-demand so once we order your fabric it takes approx 4 weeks to get here (from the States),then we allow another week to make your shade. However, some fabrics are from closer shores and only take 10 days to get here, and then again, some are already here!

Also, if it does have to be printed and sent from the States, you have the option of paying extra $$$ for them to get it here within 2 weeks or even 1 week, via FedEx.

The most popular size is the 43cm diameter lampshade. The height that often looks best (but it’s up to you!) is 30cm-40cm. If you want something larger, the 50cm diameter (height 35-45cm) also looks terrific on a standard base. Generally, the taller the lamp stand, the bigger the shade you might want to look at.

Ooooo, this depends on how big your lamp is! Anything from 20cm diameter up to 30cm diameter is “the norm”. If you had a large (wide and tall) stand you could look at a 43cm diameter shade. Have a look in our gallery for different sizes and see if you find something you like. Or get in touch with the dimensions of your stand and I will advise you as best as I can!

Obviously, this depends on the size of the room. The most common size we do for small bedrooms (eg; kids’ rooms) is the 30cm diameter x 25cm high. If you have a large stud and/or large room, the 43cm diameter x 30cm high is the most popular choice. Have a look in our gallery for different sizes and see if you find something you like. Or get in touch with the dimensions of your room and I will be happy to advise you as best as I can!

Absolutely! Given that most wallpapers are 52cm wide, we make either 33cm diameter or 48cm diameter shades with wallpaper…please contact us and ask for details.

For a 20cm diameter shade; 70cm wide and I need 10cm on top of the height of the lampshade, for the other dimension. eg; for a 20cm diameter x 25cm shade I need a piece of fabric 70cm wide x 35cm high.

For a 25cm diameter shade; 85cm wide and I need 10cm on top of the height of the lampshade, for the other dimension. eg; for a 25cm diameter x 30cm shade I need a piece of fabric 85cm wide x 40cm high.

For a 30cm diameter shade; 100cm wide and I need 10cm on top of the height of the lampshade, for the other dimension. eg; for a 30cm diameter x 25cm shade I need a piece of fabric 100cm wide x 35cm high.

For a 43cm diameter shade; 140cm wide and I need 10cm on top of the height of the lampshade, for the other dimension. eg; for a 43cm diameter x 35cm shade I need a piece of fabric 140cm wide x 45cm high.

For a 50cm diameter shade; 165cm wide and I need 10cm on top of the height of the lampshade, for the other dimension. eg; for a 50cm diameter x 35cm shade I need a piece of fabric 165cm wide x 45cm high OR 2 x pieces 85cm wide x 45cm EACH and I can sew these together for you to get the 165cm required.

For a 57cm diameter shade; 200cm wide and I need 10cm on top of the height of the lampshade, for the other dimension. eg; for a 200cm diameter x 35cm shade I need a piece of fabric 200cm wide x 45cm high OR 2 x pieces 110cm wide x 45cm EACH and I can sew these together for you to get the 200cm required.

Absolutely! We don’t always have them available but MOST are no problem. Sometimes we may ask you to send samples back (we pay for postage).

This is tricky! With most of my fabrics, I will just cut your material as it comes and so no, there is a good chance the patterns won’t match! If you are concerned about this, please do let me know so that I can accomodate you as best as I can.

We are very proud to use Toll couriers to send our lampshades nationwide. Out of literally hundreds of deliveries over the years, we have not had one instance of a lampshade being damaged. This is due, in part, to the specially-made boxes we use for packaging your shade.

60 watt for up to 30cm & 100 watt for 43cm and bigger. But the energy saver bulbs are fine for all sizes
